Huy Fong is the undisputed industry leader in a category David Tran created.

David produced his first hot sauce in Vietnam in 1975.

In 1979 he departed communist Vietnam aboard a Taiwanese freighter bound for the United States named Huey Fong.

The United States accepted Tran as a refugee when no other countries would.

He travelled to Los Angeles and began producing his sauces in a 5,000 square foot building near Chinatown, selling to Asian restaurants and markets.

His sauces, especially Sriracha Hot Sauce, took off like wildfire.

To supply the ever-increasing demand, Tran first purchased a 68,000 square foot facility in Rosemead and then an even larger facility in the same area.

Huy Fong now produces their product in their own state of the art facility designed to David Tran’s specifications which is capable of producing 18,000 bottles per minute thanks to his brilliant design acumen.

Huy Fong is celebrating their 40th year in business and, during that time, has never increased their wholesale price.

Having achieved a “cult” following among their many loyal fans, they do not advertise, nor do they employ a sales staff.
